Flamingo in the Forest- Spiritual Art Alchemy Retreat
Some women arrive at the forest because life has asked them to change. Others come because they are tired of carrying too much for too long. Flamingo in the Forest is a four-day Adirondack retreat created for women standing at a threshold — those navigating recovery, reinvention, grief, spiritual awakening, or simply the quiet desire to return to themselves. Here, surrounded by nature, creativity, and gentle community, you are invited to slow down, breathe deeply, and rediscover the color that has always been yours.
Flamingo in the Forest blends creativity, spirituality, nature, and rest within the peaceful landscape of Pyramid Life Center. Through guided reflection, art, movement, and time in the forest, participants are invited to reconnect with their true color — the vibrant self that may feel hidden beneath years of expectation, exhaustion, or transition.
The flamingo is a symbol of resilience: bold, graceful, and unmistakably unique. The forest represents grounding, stillness, and divine presence. Together, they create a space where women can step away from noise and rediscover their own rhythm.
This retreat is intentionally substance-free and rooted in respect, compassion, and anonymity. What happens in the forest stays in the forest — creating a safe container for honest reflection, laughter, healing, and deep connection.
Throughout the four days, guests will experience a gentle rhythm of:
• guided meditation, journaling, and spiritual reflection
• creative art sessions using acrylics, watercolor, and natural materials
• forest bathing, Adirondack hikes, and lakeside moments
• sound baths and restorative evening gatherings
• quiet lake time: swimming, kayaking, or simply sitting at the shoreline
• optional outings to the nearby town of Schroon — enjoy local restaurants, small shops, and Adirondack charm for those who wish to explore
Throughout our time together, we will create using acrylics, watercolor, and natural materials inspired by the forest itself — all art supplies are included. No art experience is necessary. This is not about perfection; it is about expression, restoration, and reconnecting with yourself alongside flamingo sisters you have yet to meet. Come on your own or bring a friend or two and join the flock.
There is no pressure to perform or “be fixed.” The intention is simple: to rest, to create, and to remember who you are beneath the weight of the world.
Your retreat price includes lodging, three nourishing homemade meals each day made with fresh, locally grown ingredients, and full access to the beautiful retreat grounds and facilities. Please bring your own bedding, and consider packing a small portable fan, as the cabins and lodges are not air-conditioned. We are nestled in the Adirondacks, where open windows and fresh mountain breezes are part of the natural rhythm of the experience.
Whether you come seeking clarity, renewal, sisterhood, or sacred pause, Flamingo in the Forest offers a welcoming nest — a place to land, to breathe, and to gently rise again.
Led by Jen Wilson, creator of the Flamingo in the Forest movement, this retreat reflects her belief that healing happens through beauty, honesty, faith, and community. Guests are invited exactly as they are — no perfection required, only willingness.

Her journey with creative healing began early. As a child, Jen found refuge in journaling and reflection, learning to translate emotions into words long before she understood their…
