What do you mean by rustic?

Our camp is located on 750 acres in the Adirondacks, approximately 1.5 miles into the woods off of Route 74. The main lodge and all of our cabins have running water and electricity. Showers are located either in your cabin or are centrally located throughout the camp.

Is there wildlife at camp?

Yes! During your time you may see chipmunks, deer, loons, bald eagles, squirrels, insects of many kinds and more!

Is there a registration fee?

Each reservation includes a $50 non-refundable deposit to hold your place. If, for some reason, you are unable to attend your booking, please contact us. Your deposit can be applied to another session during the same programming season.

Is there cell phone and internet access?

There is no Wi-fi available at camp. There is limited-to-no cell service, depending on your provider, so please plan accordingly. We have a phone available in the dining hall for emergencies. We hope you view this as an opportunity to disconnect from technology.

What should I bring?

Please pack as you would for a mountainous vacation. You may encounter mud and steep terrain and we suggest packing appropriate footwear. The weather can be cold at night, no matter the time of year, and we recommend layers, extra blankets, and warm socks. Also, linens, bedding and towels are not provided.

What items are prohibited at camp?

Firearms, fireworks, pets, space heaters, and illegal drugs.

What to expect while at camp?

If you’re visiting for a retreat, or just simply for an overnight stay, you can expect to relax and unplug at Pyramid Life Center. We have a large fresh-water lake, a waterfall, various hiking trails and numerous docks to relax on. Guests enjoy fishing, kayaking, swimming, canoeing to the island, nighttime bonfires with s’mores and more.

Check-in begins at 4:00 pm. Check-out is at 11:00 am.

Can I choose my accommodations?

We are happy to take requests for your stay. No specific cabin assignments are guaranteed, but we will do our best to place you in your requested accommodations.

Can I bring in my own boat?

Pyramid Life Center does not allow motorized boats of any kind. You are welcome to bring in your own canoe, kayak, or paddle board. All watercraft must be sanitized before entering the water to avoid contaminating our lake with invasive species.
