GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH DREAMS
July
18 - 20
$120

"Your old ones shall dream, dreams and your young one shall see visions." (Joel 2:28)

We receive guidance daily through sleep dreams and daydreams. That guidance may show us pathways to healing relationships, to creativity in work and to deepening our friendship with sacred creation and the Divine. But we need to pay attention or else we miss a lot. Too often dreams are treated like junk mail or spam! This retreat will offer ways to explore and honor dreams and to bring dream wisdom into daily life. It includes sharing and an experiential component to practice specific ways to explore dreams.

Sr. Carol Davis, OP,MA, CASAC is a lifelong dream explorer. She does psychospiritual counseling in upstate New York and has led retreats throughout the United States. Carol has a rich background in spirituality, addictions and trauma recovery counseling, university teaching and campus ministry. She brings compassion and creativity to the process of teaching and traveling with others on paths of healing, love and light. She has recorded two compact discs of guided imagery.

"WRITING THRU IT; the transformative power of writing" July

ELLIE O'LEARY, INSTRUCTOR
Whether you want to preserve your memories, come to a better understanding of a period in your life, or work your way thru a difficult time or illness, writing is a tool that can assist you. The focus here is the process of writing, not the finished work. We will explore the possibilities available to us by working with letters, diaries, journals, fiction and poetry. No previous writing experience is required; both men and women are encouraged to attend.

Ellie O'Leary grew up in Freedom Village in Waldo County, Maine. After many years away, she returned to Maine in 2004. She has published poetry, essays and short stories. Ellie is just finishing up a memoir titled Up Home Again and is working on a collection of stories from her childhood called Stories of Freedom. She wants to share what writing has meant to her.
